Visualization elements

You can change how to display the visualization on the right-click menu. You find the available visualizations at the bottom of the menu.

If you switch to a graph or a measuring instrument, a new icon is displayed in the right-click menu enables you to change the properties of the visualization.

 

Change the settings for the visualization

Click on Chart or Gauge Properties on the right-click menu.

Opens a dialog box in which the properties for the graphic element are displayed.
Here you can change the type of graph and other settings.

Note! None of these settings will be saved, so you are free to explore. The dialog box that is displayed will be different for graphs and measuring instruments.

 

Chart definitions

There are some general settings on the left:

  • Chart type: You decide the type of graph you want here. Additional settings may vary according to the type of chart selected.
  • Position of series description: The location of the series (legend) description, to be displayed in the chart.
  • Show total value for series: Displays the total value of the series in the tooltip and in the legend.
  • Display title: If the title is to be displayed over the chart and their position.
  • Render chart series horizontally: Render the chart horizontal.
  • Display values: If values are to be displayed in the chart.
  • Show total values: Display the total value on stacked series.
  • Use range indicator: Display range indicators (background colors) if they are defined on the series. Only applies when there is one series.

All the active value columns/series that are included in the chart are displayed to the right. Click on the icon to see individual settings for each series.

You can drag and drop series elements to determine the order in which they should be displayed in the chart. The one at the top is displayed first, and the last one is at the bottom/the end. You can also use multiple value axis.

Gauge definitions

There are some general settings on the left:

  • Default gauge type: Radial, linear or numerical display.
  • Display title: Select this option if the title is to be displayed over the measuring instrument.
  • Display values: Select this option if the values are to be displayed in the measuring instrument. This applies to the radial speedometer.

All the active value columns/series that are included in the measuring instrument are displayed to the right. Click on the icon to see individual settings for each series. You can drag and drop series elements to determine the order in which they should be displayed in the graph.
