The input module (IM) in Business Analyze 3.0 has been integrated into Business Analyze. This means that it uses the Business Analyze Framework for authentication/access control and data sources, and that IM has its own licence code and that it has been given its own administration interface available in the system administration menu for Business Analyze.
The IM administration interface can administer and control IM installed in several databases. The default database is set on the system/organisation/group/user level using the system variable ’im_default_db’.
IM has been given its own access system controlled from the administration interface.
The access control can be divided into these parts:
- If the logged-on user has been given a licence for the Input module, the “Budget” menu option will appear on the main menu on the desktop.
- If the logged-on user has been given access to one or more data forms in IM (in the user’s default IM database), these will appear as links under the “Budget/Input module" menu on the desktop.
- If the user has been given access to the data form in other databases than the user’s default database, these will not be automatically shown in the menu on the desktop.
- If the logged-on user is a systems administrator, the administration of IM is accessible under System Administration on the main menu on the desktop. Click on Budget/Input Module.
